New Testament Greek (Biblical Greek)

These sessions are for students with no prior knowledge in New Testament Greek—or have taken a semester or two of it and would like a refresher. Start from scratch by learning the alphabet—or read through some easy(ish) biblical texts together with me! We will look at the nuts and bolts of Greek—nouns, verbs, prepositions, to name a few—and how they come together to convey ideas that have fascinated people for centuries.

Do note that this is strictly an academic language class, NOT a faith-based one. As such, anyone of any religious persuasion is welcome, "believers" and "non-believers" alike—whether you want to get a better understanding of the New Testament for devotional reasons or just want to see how an ancient language works (hint: it's VERY different). We will of course discuss concepts and ideas in some New Testament passages (they are religious texts, after all!), but we won't be evaluating or debating them. (There are other courses for that!)

Prerequisite: Nothing except a commitment to learn and get through the tricky parts!
