Stageo gives you flexible ways to learn, whether you’re looking for academic tutoring, professional coaching, or personal development. You can choose from:

  • One-Time Session – A single meeting for focused support, such as tackling an academic challenge or booking a targeted consultation. Available as private one-to-one or group sessions, depending on the guide’s offering.

  • Weekly Sessions – Recurring sessions held on a weekly schedule to ensure steady progress in school subjects, career coaching, or skill-building. Available as private one-to-one or group sessions. You’ll be billed monthly for convenience.

  • Events – Short-term group programs such as workshops, bootcamps, or academic revision courses. Payment is only charged once the event is confirmed to take place.

  • On-Demand Courses – Access pre-recorded lessons anytime and learn at your own pace, without needing to schedule live sessions.

With these options, Stageo makes it simple for you to choose the format that fits your goals—whether you prefer one-to-one tutoring, group learning, or independent study.

A One-Time session on Stageo lets you book a guide for a single meeting without any ongoing commitment. When booking, you can:

  • Select from the available timeslots listed on the offering.
  • Choose to book one or multiple sessions, depending on your needs.
  • Pay the session rate at the time of booking.

Unlike recurring offerings, One-Time sessions are not tied to a subscription or ongoing commitment. This makes them ideal for quick consultations, targeted problem-solving, or exploring a new guide’s expertise before committing to a longer plan.

Weekly Sessions on Stageo are recurring bookings that run once a week, usually four sessions per month, and are billed on a monthly subscription basis.

When booking a Weekly Session from a guide’s offering, you’ll have two options:

  1. Pick a Start Date and Time – You select an available timeslot from the offering. The session will then repeat every week on the same day of the week and time, for as long as your subscription is active.

    Example: If you book a session starting on Tuesday at 7 PM, your session will repeat every Tuesday at 7 PM.

  2. Join a Cohort Created by the Guide – Some guides create fixed cohorts with specific schedules. You can join one of these cohorts, and your sessions will repeat at those times each week until the set end date by guide

    Example: A guide may offer a cohort that meets every Monday and Wednesday at 6 PM. By joining this group, your schedule will follow that exact pattern.

Billing:

  • Subscriptions are charged automatically on the 1st of every month.
  • If you join in the middle of a month, you’ll pay a prorated amount for your first month at the time of booking.

Weekly Sessions can be offered as private one-to-one sessions or group sessions, depending on the offerings. This format is ideal for academic tutoring, structured programs, or skill-based learning where regular weekly practice leads to better results.

An Event offering on Stageo is a short-term group program designed for interactive learning experiences such as workshops, bootcamps, or intensive training sessions. Events allow clients to engage with guides and other participants in a structured setting over a fixed schedule.

Key features:

  • Group-based: Multiple clients can join the same event.
  • Scheduled: Events have defined dates and times.
  • Booking & Payment: Provide your payment information to reserve a seat; you are only charged once the event is confirmed.
  • Access: Session links and materials are shared on your dashboard once the event begins.

On-Demand courses on Stageo are pre-recorded lessons or resources that clients can access anytime and learn at their own pace. This format allows you to build knowledge and skills without being tied to a scheduled session.

  • Flexible learning: Start, pause, and revisit lessons whenever it suits you.
  • Instant access: You can access course content immediately after purchase.
  • Guided by experts: Courses are created by guides with expertise in their field.
  • Self-paced progress: Learn according to your schedule, without the need to attend live sessions.

On-Demand courses are ideal for clients who want flexible, self-paced learning while still benefiting from expert guidance.

You can explore offerings in several ways:

  • Search by Topic – Enter a keyword in the search bar (e.g., math tutoring, career coaching, fitness training). Stageo will show you offerings that match your interest.
  • Search by Guide – If you already know the name of a specific guide, you can search directly to view their profile and available offerings.
  • Browse Categories – Stageo also organizes offerings into categories such as academics, professional coaching, or personal development. This is a great way to discover recommended sessions if you’re not sure what to book yet.

Booking a session on Stageo is straightforward and designed to give you a smooth, secure experience. Here’s how you can reserve your spot:

  1. Find the session or course you want – Search by topic, guide, or category to discover offerings that match your goals.
  2. Select your preferred time slot – For one-time or weekly sessions, choose the available date and time that works for you. For on-demand courses, you can access the content immediately after purchase.
  3. Complete payment – Stageo supports secure payments via credit card, FPX, and digital wallet options (availability depends on your country). One-time sessions, weekly sessions, and on-demand courses are paid upfront. This ensures the guide is committed to delivering the session and locks in your booking. For event offerings, provide your payment details to reserve a seat. You will only be charged once the event is confirmed.

Stageo supports secure payments via credit card, digital wallet, and FPX (availability depends on your country). All payments are processed safely, ensuring your session or course is confirmed immediately after booking.

Stageo Credits is the in-app stored value for clients

Stageo Credits are obtained via 2 ways

  • Refunded amounts in the event of a successful refund claim
  • Special/seasonal offers on Stageo

Stageo Credits can only be used towards the payment for courses within Stageo. It cannot be converted to cash or transferred out to a bank account outside of Stageo

All sessions on Stageo are held online via video conferencing, making it easy for clients to attend from anywhere. Guides choose the platform for their sessions, and the available option is listed in each offering. Stageo currently supports:

  1. Stageo Room – Default channel. Sessions are recorded and monitored by default to ensure safety and protection for clients and dependents.
  2. Zoom – A widely used video conferencing tool for interactive sessions.
  3. Google Meet – Another reliable platform for online learning and coaching.

When you book a session, you agree to use the platform specified in the offering.

Yes. Stageo helps you stay on track by providing clear reminders for all upcoming sessions you have booked.

  • Dashboard Calendar – Every session you book through Stageo is automatically added to your personal calendar in the Stageo dashboard. This lets you view all upcoming bookings in one place.

  • Email Reminder – You will receive an email reminder one day before your scheduled session begins.

  • WhatsApp Reminder – If you verify your phone number, Stageo will also send you a text message reminder through WhatsApp one hour before your session starts. To enable this:

    1. Enter your phone number at the time of booking,
    2. Or go to Profile Settings > My Profile.
    3. Enter your phone number with a WhatsApp account and click Verify button.
    4. Complete OTP verification.

    Once verified, you will automatically receive WhatsApp reminders before each session.

Stageo has an Attendance Policy to protect both clients and guides and to help resolve disputes in case of a “no show.” All session activities—start times, joins, and timestamps—are tracked to ensure fairness.

Attendance rules for guides:

  • Guides must launch the session via Stageo by clicking “Start Class”.
  • Guides should keep the session open for at least 15 minutes after the scheduled start time to allow clients to join.
  • If no client joins within 15 minutes, guides may close the session.
  • If a guide does not start the session via Stageo, it will be considered a no-show, and the guide may not receive payment if a client raises a dispute.

Attendance rules for clients:

  • Clients must join the session via Stageo by clicking “Join Class”.
  • If the guide does not start the session within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, clients are eligible to request a prorated refund.
  • If the session is started by the guide but the client does not join, it is considered a client no-show, and no refund will be issued.

Rescheduling:

  • Both clients and guides are encouraged to reschedule sessions in advance to avoid issues and potential disputes.

Refunds for past sessions:

  • Refunds are not automatic. To request a refund, clients should email [email protected] with the subject “Request for Refund” and provide relevant details about the issue. Stageo administrators will review and respond promptly.

You can reschedule “One-Time” classes as long as it is done 48 hours before the commencement of a class.

Only Coaches can reschedule “Weekly” classes. If you wish to reschedule your session in your “Weekly” classes, please contact your Coach.

Stageo allows clients to directly message guides before or after booking a session. This feature helps you clarify details about the offering, ask questions, and build trust with the guide before committing to a session.

How to message a guide:

  • Before booking: Click the Ask me a question button on the offering page.
  • After booking: Click the Message button on your session page or the program page.

Important guidelines for messaging:

  • Only use Stageo’s messaging system; avoid sharing personal private information such as your address, phone number, ID numbers, or financial details.
  • Messages are monitored by Stageo administrators to ensure safety and compliance with our terms of service. Any inappropriate or unsafe behavior may result in action taken by Stageo.

Yes. Stageo allows clients to provide ratings and reviews for guides based on their genuine experience. Sharing your honest feedback helps other clients make informed decisions and gives guides valuable insight to improve their offerings. Please ensure your reviews are respectful and constructive.

Guidelines for leaving reviews:

  • Weekly sessions: You can leave a rating and review after attending at least 4 paid sessions with a guide.
  • One-time sessions: You can leave a rating and review after 1 paid session.
  • Events: You can leave a rating and review after attending the event.
  • On-demand courses: You can leave a rating and review after completing the course.

This ensures that reviews reflect first-hand experience, providing credibility for both clients and guides.

All reviews are subject to moderation by Stageo administrators and may be removed if they violate our terms of service.

A session reflection is a AI-generated summary provided after your live session (when the guide uses Stageo Rooms) to help you review key takeaways, action steps, and resources shared during the session. It is designed to help you retain knowledge, track progress, and continue learning after the session ends.

You can access your reflection:

  • On the Reflection page in your dashboard
  • Through the session detail page after the session is completed

Stageo’s Learners Protection provides a refund policy which helps give you peace of mind that you’re protected in the unforeseen event that you (1) change your mind about starting or continuing a class with a Guide or (2) in the event of Guides did not show up for a class as per booking .

The scenarios for Refund Policy are as follows:

  • Refund may be sought if client terminates 48 hours before the start of a class where no prior sessions were conducted with the Guide
  • Refund may be sought for specific sessions where a Guide failed to show up and there was no advanced rescheduling notice by the Guide. This protection remains active provided the client has fully abided by Stageo’s Attendance Policy (using the Stageo platform to join classes)
  • IMPORTANT: Lodging this request for a refund must occur within 24 hours of the incident. Any seeking of refunds beyond this period will not be entertained
  • Refund cannot be sought where a client is dissatisfied with the content, quality or outcome of the session conducted by the Guide. clients may rate their experience with the Guide or leave a review to express their thoughts (provided they have fulfilled a minimum of 4 paid full sessions under the said Guide)

In the event of a dispute, the administrators of Stageo reserve the right to arbitrate and determine the validity of the refund claim. clients upon purchasing a course through Stageo are deemed to have agreed to let the administrators be the final deciding authority on the valid refundable amount and may not seek further compensation

Sometimes unforeseen circumstances may require you to terminate your sessions on Stageo, meaning you decide not to continue with any future sessions. Stageo allows termination and refund requests under specific conditions, ensuring fairness for both clients and guides.

How to terminate a session:

  • Termination must be requested at least 48 hours before the next upcoming session.
  • You may choose to terminate at any point, but refunds depend on timing and the type of session.

Refund guidelines:

  • One-Time Sessions:
    • Refunds are allowed only for any future sessions that have not yet been conducted.
  • Weekly Sessions:
    • Refunds are allowed if termination occurs 48 hours before the next session up to 10 days after the first session.
    • Refunds are pro-rated based on the number of undelivered sessions.
  • Events and On-Demand Courses:
    • These offerings are non-refundable once paid.

Example:

You book a weekly session program with classes on March 5, 13, 20, 27:

  • Termination before March 3 → full refund for all 4 sessions
  • Termination by March 11 → refund for 3 remaining sessions
  • Termination by March 15 → refund for 2 remaining sessions
  • Termination after March 15 → no refund

Important notes:

  • Refunds only cover the pro-rated cost of undelivered sessions. Any booking fee (currently waived) is not refundable.
  • Refunds are issued as Stageo Credits, not cash. Credits can be used to book future sessions on Stageo.

This policy ensures clients have flexibility while maintaining fairness for guides delivering sessions.
